arca , i.e. a public fund in the responsibility of a higher official (Cod. Theod. 11,28,6) or with a special purpose (see Dig. 50,4,1,2), but especially the imperial treasury (Cod. Just. 10,72,13). The duty of an
arcarius (Dig. 40,5,41,17; Cod. Just. 10,72,15) was probably performed by a
