Rex of the Alamanni in the Main-Neckar region, where he surrendered to lulianus  in AD 359 (Amm. Marc. 18,2,15-18). In 370, Valentinianus  mobilized a Burgundian army (Amm. Marc. 28,5,8-13) against M., who had by then become more powerful. However, M. avoided capture in 372 by fleeing.
