A. Author and work X. was born at Athens between 430 and 425 BC, and studied with Socrates, probably in the last decade of the 5th cent. He accompanied Cyrus the Younger on the campaign against his brother, the Persian Great King Artaxerxes II. He described the events of this enterprise in his
