The Textual History of the Bible Online
is unique in providing, for the first time, a cross-searchable platform which will contain all available information regarding the textual history, textual character, translation techniques, manuscripts, and the importance of each textual witness for each book of the Hebrew Bible, including its deutero-canonical scriptures. In addition, it includes articles on the history of research, the editorial histories of the Hebrew Bible, as well as other aspects of text-critical research and its auxiliary fields, such as papyrology, codicology, and linguistics.

Please note: Articles may appear online before the print edition. With few exceptions, the content of these entries is final. Some articles will still receive light copy editing. For more information about The Textual History of the Bible Online see Brill.com

Citing the THB

For citing THB (printed edition) vol. 1 and 2 in another publication, we suggest to include the context of a section (its “path”), e.g.:

[vol. 1:] R. E. Fuller, “9.2.3 Minor Prophets: Ancient Hebrew Texts: Other Texts,” in Textual Hstory of the Bible, vol. 1: The Hebrew Bible, part 1B (gen. ed. A. Lange, vol. eds. A. Lange and E. Tov; Leiden: Brill, 2016), 611–613 [instead of just: R. E. Fuller, “9.2.3 Other Texts,” in ...].
[vol. 2:] T. Michael, “2.1.2 Baruch/Jeremiah: 1 Baruch: Greek,” in Textual History of the Bible, vol. 2: The Deuterocanonical Scriptures, part 2B (gen. ed. A. Lange, vol. eds. F. Feder and M. Henze; Leiden: Brill, 2019), 11–15 [instead of just: T. Michael, “Greek,” in...]

For citation from the online edition use "cite this page" below the article or "export citation" at the top (right column). Here too, you may want to add the context, e.g.:
