Senator, who as legate of the legio XV Apollinaris in the army of Lower Germany in AD 69 was in command of the winter camp of his legion and the remains of the legio V Alaudae. He attacked Iulius [II 43] Civilis on the island of Batavia, but withdrew defeated to Vetera. There he had to surrender owing to lack of food. He escaped the massacre of the retreating troops. When he was sent by Civilis as a gift to the seer Veleda, he was murdered on the way (Tac. Hist. 4,18; 4,22; 4,61,2-3). PIR2 M 741.
