(Δῶρος). Mythischer Ahnherr der Dorier, Sohn des Hellen und der Orseis, Enkel des Deukalion, Bruder des Xuthos und des Aiolos. Seine Söhne sind Tektamos und Aigimios (Hes. cat. fr. 9,2; Apollod. 1,49-50; Diod. 4,58,6; 60,2). Von Phthia aus führte D. das Volk in die thessalische Hestiaiotis (Diod. 5,80,2), in die mittelgriech. Landschaft Doris (Strab.8,7,1) oder nach Südaitolien (Apollod. 1,57).
