Sohn des Agenor [3] und der Epikaste (Apollod. 1,59), Gatte der Euryte, König in Pleuron und Kalydon. Vater von Oineus, Agrios und Melas (nur diese bei Hom. l.c., somit Urgroßvater des Diomedes [1]). Weiterhin Vater von Alkathoos, Leukopeus, Sterope (Apollod. 1,63) sowie Laokoon [2] (Hyg. fab. 14,17; Apoll. Rhod. 1,191). Bedeutend nur als Vater des Oineus.
