Lat. emanatio, “outflow,” translation of Gk ἀπορροή/ἀπόρροια (apórrhoḗ/apórrhoia), a keyword and figure of thought in the doctrinal structure of Gnosis/Gnosticism (in Irenaeus's Lat. trans. emissio: Haer.
