Fiedler was an attorney at the Supreme Court in Leipzig, the coordinator for all legal questions of the Jungreformatorische Bewegung, a member of the Nürnberger Ausschuss (Nuremberg Committee) and a participant in the Confessing Synods in Barmen (I), Dahlem, and Augsburg.
