Amandus (early 5th cent. CE) was a presbyter (Priest/Presbyter) in Bordeaux under Bishop Delphinus, after whose death around 404 CE he succeeded as bishop in this city. He as a presbyter with close connections to Delphinus probably took part at the deposition of the Priscillianists (Priscillianism) at the synod in Bordeaux 384/385 CE (Sul. Anianus was (according to a late list of bishops of the 11th cent ., the fifth; see Renaud, 1976, 83f.) bishop of Orléans in the mid-5th century CE and died in 454 CE. Only one important event was remembered about him, namely, his activities to retrieve the city of Orléans from the invading Huns under Attila in 451 CE.
