[German Version] (1901, Putian, Fujian Province, China – Aug 18, 1944, Peking, China), obtained a doctorate in chemistry from Ohio State University and studied at Union Theological Seminary in New York. He then returned to China and started serving the Methodist Church in Putian in 1927. Since 1931, he began evangelistic campaigns in China, preaching from Shandong, Shanghai Guangzhou, Fuzhou and throughout China.
