AD, , is recorded under this name in the Codex Salmasianus and in other manuscripts. The preface designates the poems as light-hearted banquet poetry at the Saturnalia . [German version] The Codex Parisinus Lat. 10318 (end of the 8th cent.) named after its former owner Claude de Saumaise (1588-1653), contains i.a. a collection of poems made in North Africa around AD 534. Alongside contemporary material such as the book of epigrams by  Luxurius, it also includes older texts (i.a.  Hosidius Geta,  Pentadius,  Pervigilium Veneris,  Symphosius). These poems are characterized by the verbatim repetition of the first half of the hexameter in the second half of the pentameter in each couplet, turning an occasional device of Ovid's into game with form.
