[English Version] I. Allgemein Der Name T. ist ein Kunstwort, das erst 1964 nach der Bildung der Vereinigten Republik von Tanganyika und Sansibar eingeführt wurde. Die Republik umfaßt eine Fläche von 942 000 km 2, von denen gut 2000 km 2 auf die Inseln Pemba, Sansibar und Mafia entfallen.
