1. Sources The primitive Christian community was the main church of NT days. Its center was the first organized ¶ group of adherents in Jerusalem (Disciples 2; New Testament Era, History of, 2.3 and 3). The most important non-NT source is the Antiquities of Flavius Josephus (ca. 37–ca. 100), specifically 20.200 and 18.63–64, if this so-called Testamentum Flavianum or parts of it are indeed authentic.
